Workshop Registration Information

The 2-day workshops will be held at the festival hotel, The Carriage House Inn. 9030 Macleod Trail South, Calgary. Workshops start at 9 AM Wednesday August 7th running until 5 PM, then resume at 9 AM Thursday August 8th, ending at 5 PM. There will be a lunch break both days from 12 PM - 1 PM. You are on your own for lunch, but we encourage you to join your workshop leader in either the hotel restaurant or Peanuts Pub.

A coordinator for your workshop will:

Character & Voice with Patricia Briggs - Yorkshire 2 (2nd floor)

TV Script Writing** with Michael Cassutt - Yorkshire 1 (2nd floor)

Mystery & Suspense with Barbara Fradkin - Yorkshire 3 (2nd floor)

Fantasy with D. B. Jackson / David B. Coe - Lincolnshire 1 (2nd floor)

Manuscript Strengths and Weaknesses*** with Jack Whyte - Wedgewood Boardroom (main floor)

** Material for Michael Cassutt's workshop may be submitted as late as July 15th, though we recommend submitting it as quickly as possible after May 15th. (If Michael receives them all on the last day, he may have insufficient time to adequately review them before the workshop.) Material will not be forwarded to other participants for critique by the class.

*** Registration for Jack Whyte's half-day workshop will be handled separately.

If you have any questions regarding the workshops, please email info@whenwordscollide.org.
