The Merchant Room is a book seller's fantasy market! Come here to find your favourite local and independent publishers, as well as local bookstores represented. Pick up some super When Words Collide merch too at the AWCS table!

You can find the Merchant Room on the third floor of the Hyatt Regency in downtown Calgary for the duration of the festival.

The Merchant Room welcomes applications from writing organizations, book sellers, community writing groups, small businesses with merchandise of interest to writers and agents.

If you are an author looking to sell your books, please complete the application for Author Alley instead (formerly the Shared Authors)
Located inside the Merchant Room, this space is available to presenters and attending guests with published books.

Please note, due to space limitations, preference will be given to those selected as presenters whose books are not easily available through one of our booksellers or onsite publishers.

Space in Author Alley is complimentary. However, we ask that each author give a minimum of 1 hour of their time volunteering at the table over the weekend.
