Changes and Liability

While every effort is made to avoid errors, the When Words Collide web site may include inaccuracies for which we cannot be held liable. No implied or expressed warranties of any kind apply to the information provided.

When Words Collide may make changes or improvements to its events and web site at any time without notice.

Refunds

This policy applies to festival passes and/or banquet tickets ("pass" or "passes").

There are no cash refunds for passes (special exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis).

Requests for pass changes submitted to the festival after July 31st of the current festival year will not be processed.

If you have bought a pass and cannot attend, upon informing us before the festival your pass will be transferred to the following year. If you don't inform us of your non-attendance before the festival starts, you lose the pass.

Empty spots created by relinquished passes will be offered to those on the waiting list in the order they were added to the waiting list.

Those on the waiting list who are offered a chance to register have 72 hours from the time the email notification is sent to them to do so. After that, the available spot will be offered to the next person on the waiting list and the non-responding person will move to the back of the waiting list.

We have no control over how many relinquished passes will be available, nor how many people are ahead of you on the waiting list. There is no guarantee that you will get a spot if you wait until we are sold out.

Pass holders may transfer their passes directly to someone else but the festival registrar must be provided with all the same information which one would give when filling out a registration form.

Harrassment

When Words Collide promotes a collegial, welcoming environment for attendees, presenters, volunteers, and hotel staff alike. Harassment and other behaviour at odds with this environment will not be tolerated. The When Words Collide Board reserves the right to revoke festival passes without recompense and to deny offenders attendance at future events.

Photographs/Recording

By registering for this festival you consent to allowing When Words Collide to use any photographs or other recordings taken at the festival for promotional purposes.
